OMFG!........ it's........ its........ Hideous!!
I wouldn't touch this thing with a 10 foot cattle-prod, much less an ordinary 10 foot long stick! Make it go away ANet!

Wow, so this is kind of like the grey giant minipet. Not only is ArenaNet advertising now for other magazines (well, unless ArenaNet is getting something out of this, then great), but now people who either have a subscription or are willing to go out and spend money on a magazine can get a minipet that they can sell for 10-20k like the grey giant. Fun!

Well, enough with the bad stuff. On the other hand, I'd rather see stuff like this than nothing

Im not so sure about these little guys either, I dont think it looks that bad, its just not GW material, those sorta graphix belong in WoW cartoony fantasy style, I like the realism I get from GW while playing in a fantasy world, Real looking people and conviencing monsters....it's going to be hard to take that guy serious unless they roam around in hordes of 10k or so, even then a good set of kicking boots would probably solve the problem. I will probably end up getting one though just to have.

GW come on, dont change up everything we have come to love, Part 2 does not have my hopes up already, and all I have seen are a few toons.

It does bear a passing resemblance to a hyper-kinetic rabbity thing. With pointed teeth. I will probably buy the mag just to get it.

I don't respond negatively to things for the sake of looking "intelligent" or trying to "fit in" with the general response to things. I, quite simply, don't like it. In fact, there are a great many things that have been implemented in GW that I am exceedingly happy with. This upcoming mini, however, is NOT one of them. I am entitled to my personal opinion, and others are entitled to theirs. If they should happen to concur, then so be it. My hope in expressing my opinion thusly is that perhaps later bonus items won't be similarly designed to incite my gag reflex. That's all.

Yesterday, when I learned about the upcoming promotion in PC Gamer, I was all set to line up to buy my copy of the magazine. Now I'm not at all sure that I will waste my money on it, particularly since I can just read the info about C4 on wiki or thumb through it at the bookstore. Other than promises of "exclusive" bonuses, I have no need to buy YET ANOTHER gaming magazine. I'm just glad they released this image so I didn't get disappointed later, after I'd already spent my money.

Honestly though, even a crap minipet doesn't make a dent in how excited I am for the next GW release.

hmm, i strongly doubt this is one of the new playable races, at least not at that height anyway. I admit the name has an almost definate connection to the races mentioned in that article, but if a human, a charr and one of those little critters were to go at it, that thing would not stand a chance without some serious magic backin it up(and i doubt that Arenanet would create an unbalanced...anything!) I think if they were larger and had more human like features (not to do away with their awsome freakishness!) they would be a very popular playable race.

On a side note, perhaps all of this is a huge example of the way Arenanet uses player feadback to make their games ever-so-perfect before officially releasing or announcing it. (just my opinion :P)

Yay, Australia misses out again. Congratulations Arenanet. Well, at least there's better games coming.

Well....
I....
ahh..

hell i am speachless

knowing it is an mini means that we will prob see them in battle sometime. Most (and i did say most) mini pets are something that we have had to fight at one time or another. and i am cool with that. I would not mind killing a few hundred of them. But i hope they do not make it a playable char. That would be a big let down.

But i do have a question. How do you get the pet just by getting the mag. Do they give you a key to type in or something?

OMG GW is being invaded by little aliens from "Lilo and Stitch"!

Yeah.. when i first saw it i thought this was a joke. Somebody must have photoshopped it. but it looks like it is real deal. There are somethings that we would like GW to emulate WoW like auction house but not this.

Don't worry, you're not alone. But, has you can see, no one cares.

Whatever you do, do not give him any food after midnight! And don't let him near the water as well!

I made that comment because it's a general trend I see in many threads, and it seems to be happening in this one. I wasnt directing it toward any particular person, so I'm not sure why you responded.

WELL....definitly....interesting....
I would not say he's cartoonish...but I do say that he is rather out of place....
He could look like he could inflict a lot of pain...if he had about 5 pairs of teeth behind his ugly little mouth...

Also a note on the back ground and history:

If you check out in the background of nf there is a mountain. This "mysterious" mountain only appears to be shown out at sea to the west.
Now lets say that you travel to that mountain and you eventually find out its like olympous or somethin. Now imagine you have to go beneth the mountain and since asuras is a demi god like thing that is just above us, you can expect that they are treated fairly bad in the god ladder. Since they are the bottom of the chain.
Just my 2 bits on what this story with be like (or just my idea due to this new information) and what these strange creatures are doing in gw.
